Alaska 2024: Icy Strait Point

In Icy Strait Point, we woke up to a beautiful mysteriously misty day. There were whales breaching off the side of the ship at breakfast. But we would soon get a much closer view on our whale watch tour.

No photos of whales. But we saw dozens and dozens, breaching and spouting everywhere, and smacking their tails. It was really cool. Fortunately there was somewhere inside to go sit when I was tired and cold, but for a really long time, I just watched.

This was my parents favorite experience, though mine was the Mendenhall Glacier. Though I'm sure if I could work in astronomy again, THAT would be my favorite experience! (The observatory tour, yet to be shown, was very cool though).

Anyhow, I really don't have the photography skill to catch a whale and barely tried.
